Parenting Support

Working with families and children who are part of a child protection plan. Working on a daily basis, observing and documenting case notes. Using a traffic light grading system, we conduct whole-family assessments to identify degrees of danger and need, as well as the parents’ ability to safeguard and meet the child’s requirements. And helping families obtain the assistance they require.
Our main aim is to keep families together. Removal of children from parents or guardians has to happen when all else fails. We believe in giving every parent a chance at parenting and proving that their past does not define their present, however if there are safeguarding issues present in family homes our main aim is to highlight this and keep the children safe. This is where Right Opportunity comes in. There are families who are subject to CIN, CP, PLO or ICO. We provide Parenting Practitioners to carry observations on families, in their family homes or communities in order to provide evidence of parents parenting if they are under any of the above mentioned. We provide factual and timely reports that outline the periods of observation, key work sessions or any direct work that will have been completed by our staff with the families using the expertise of our Parenting Practitioners.
